The year 2000 not only heralded a new millennium but also the 175th anniversary of one of our most respected financial institutions, Standard Life. A double celebration was therefore required and so it was decided to present every member of staff worldwide with an anniversary Millennium gift.
After an exhaustive tender process we were eventually selected for this logistical challenge which involved delivering 12,500 gifts to home addresses throughout the UK and Canada from a choice of 20 items and, to add complexity, the recipient could select a delivery date within a 20 day window.
Our warehouses in Macclesfield and Toronto delivered every gift on time with only one recorded picking error.
